Mayor Biagi reported on his meeting with the tenants of the block <br /> owned by Home Savings and Loan who have submitted plans to the City <br /> indicating their intention of demolishing the present building and <br /> constructing a one-story building with parking. Mayor Biagi said he <br /> will attempt to obtain an appointment with the President of Home <br /> Savings or another officer of the Association in order to discuss the <br /> irnl matter. (memo 12/22/81) <br /> 2. Councilman Bury called attention to the copy of the letter of <br /> December 11, 1981 from Director of Public Works to Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company regarding SP's failure to take requested <br /> remedial action to resolve the unsafe situation on Chestnut Street <br /> relating to SP railroad tracks, stating he is pleased at the <br /> persistence of staff in attempting to have SP meet its obligation. <br /> Director of Public Works Addiego reported that he has not had a reply <br /> to his letter, but that SP crews have been observed working in the <br /> area for the past few days and are making progress. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, Council adjourned at 9:05 p.m. to an Executive <br /> Session to consider litigation matters and to reconvene solely to adjourn. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned at 9:25 p.m. to 7:00 <br /> p.m., Monday, January 4, 1982 to a Group Interview Session with candidates for appointment to <br /> the Civic Cultural Commission. <br /> JACQUELINE C.
