97 <br /> AGENDA (continued) ACTION TAKEN (continued) <br /> r <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Item No. 2 (continued) to the City of paying the differential of <br /> $9.43 between the City's health insurance <br /> cost per retiree for the Kaiser full-care <br /> plan and the Blue Cross hospitalization <br /> plan, and of amending the Blue Cross <br /> contract to allow retirees who select <br /> that plan to pay quarterly the difference <br /> between the Blue Cross hospitalization <br /> and the extra-care plans. <br /> (Memo 7/7/81) <br /> Irene Levi, Treasurer, Mid-Peninsula <br /> Chapter No. 41 of Retired Public <br /> Employees Association of California, <br /> referred to her letter of March 6, 1981 i{ <br /> and said the Association will be happy to <br /> have a member of the Board of <br /> Directors meet with the Director of <br /> Finance to discuss and explain the <br /> concerns of over-65 retirees with regard <br /> to health insurance options. <br /> John Clark, Acting Chairman, Park and <br /> Recreation Commission, referred to his <br /> letter of June 17, 1981 regarding Garrett <br /> Memorial (Canyon) Park Phase II capital <br /> improvements being cancelled in the <br /> 1981-82 Recommended Budget and requested <br /> reinstatement of funding for the project. <br /> Mr. Clark acknowledged that the <br /> Lid Commission understands the difficult <br /> financial situation of the City and that <br /> an examination of the 1981-82 Budget does <br /> not reveal any area where an allocation <br /> should be cut to permit the funds to be <br /> directed toward Phase II of the Park. <br /> Mr. Clark urged Council to adopt a <br /> resolution stating that completion of the <br /> second phase of the project for Garrett <br /> Memorial Park shall have the highest <br /> priority in succeeding years. <br /> Mayor Biagi invited anyone else present <br /> who wished to speak to do so. No one <br /> wished to speak. <br /> M/S: Bury/Stangel to close the public <br /> hearing. Carried unanimously by voice <br /> vote and public hearing closed at 8:45 <br /> p.m. <br /> In response to question, Mr. Fales <br /> advised that the Budget includes an <br /> allocation for services for labor <br /> negotiations, handling of grievance <br /> procedures, etc. without specific <br /> designation of the agency to be retained. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 7/6/81 <br /> Page 4 <br />
