Revenue Sharing Program City Manager Fales advised that a public <br /> hearing is required to be held on the <br /> Revenue Sharing Program although all <br /> Redwood City funds continue to be used <br /> for Fire Safety. <br /> b. Refuse Collection Report Report of City Manager 6/30/81 <br /> Report of Director of Finance 6/11/81 <br /> City Manager Fales commented and replied <br /> to questions in discussion concerning the <br /> status of the public refuse disposal site <br /> soon to be closed in Menlo Park; the <br /> effectiveness of recycling programs; the <br /> fact that the private sector cannot be <br /> expected to be interested in <br /> non-economical programs; the hope for <br /> long term refuse solutions related to <br /> resource recovery; whether any additional <br /> dump site land will be able to be 001 <br /> obtained by Menlo Park; and the <br /> alternative garbage and garden refuse <br /> plans offered by B.F.I. for the City. roe <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to <br /> be the consensus of Council that staff <br /> prepare cost figures for the three BFI <br /> alternatives for garbage and garden <br /> refuse pickup and for any other <br /> suggestions staff may wish to make <br /> • <br /> regarding pickups so that Council may <br /> consider the matter later. <br /> (Memo 7/7/81) <br /> c.
