Councilman Bury reported that Linda Stone of the Redwood City Elementary School <br /> District inquired about holding "Youth in Government Day." Councilman Bury advised <br /> that he believes the Kiwanis Club will wish to sponsor the event again and requested <br /> the cooperation of Council and City staff in doing so. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be the consensus of Council that Council <br /> members and City staff wish to participate in "Youth in Government Day" with the <br /> Kiwanis Club and asked that Councilman Bury so advise the Club. (Memo 2/24/81) <br /> 2. Councilman Rhodes called attention to the new State traffic sign prohibiting a right <br /> turn after stopping for a red signal at the intersection of Veterans Boulevard and <br /> Whipple Road, noting that such a turn has previously been allowed and that the sign <br /> is much too small to be seen by motorists who are being citied for a traffic violation <br /> of which they are not aware. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be the consensus of Council to accept the <br /> offer of Director of Public Works Addiego to look into the matter and see if improve- <br /> two ment can be made. (Memo 2/24/81) <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> M/S: Chandler/Rhodes to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of considering <br /> personnel matters at this time; to reconvene solely to adjourn to an executive session <br /> at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 1981 in the City Manager's office for the purpose <br /> of considering labor relations; and to cancel the City Council Meeting regularly <br /> scheduled for Monday, March 2, 1981 because of the Annual Congress of Cities-National <br /> League of Cities Meeting. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote and City Council adjourned to executive session <br /> at 8:00 p.m. <br /> M/S: Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned at <br /> 11:15 p.m. (NOTE: The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held <br /> Monday, March 9, 1981.) <br /> JACQUELINE C.
