Chandtet June 30, 1980 <br /> Manguen.ite Leipzig <br /> B.ite Rhode,o <br /> err <br /> JOINT MEETING <br /> The City Council and the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood <br /> City met on this date at 8:15 p.m. with Mayor Biagi presiding. <br /> Councilmen present: Britschgi , Chandler, Leipzig, Rhodes, Stangel <br /> and Mayor Biagi <br /> Councilmen absent: Bury <br /> Planning Commissioners present: Castle, Claire, Poncia, Wandmayer <br /> and Chairman Smith <br /> Planning Commissioners absent: Berlin (term expires 6/30/80) , Spillers <br /> Officials and staff present: Fales, Schricker, Smith, Hildebrand and <br /> Addiego, Schroeter, Griffiths, Bold <br /> Administration of Oath of Office to <br /> Newly Appointed Planning Commissioners <br /> Newly reappointed Planning Commissioner Richard S. Claire and newly <br /> appointed Commissioner Gedalia Snow Rowe took the Oath of Office ad- <br /> ministered by City Clerk Hildebrand for their full three-year terms <br /> commencing July 1, 1980. <br /> Sanitary Sewer Capacity in Relation to Land Use Planning <br /> Report of City Manager 6/27/80 <br /> Report of Director of Public Works 6/26/80 <br /> Mayor Biagi observed that the Joint Meeting had been called at the <br /> request of the Planning Commission for the purpose of discussing sewage <br /> treatment plant capacity in relation to land use planning. <br /> Director of Public Works Addiego presented his report of June 26 and <br /> the attached exhibits. <br /> In response to questions, Mr. Addiego said that although federal <br /> attempts for various reasons to limit growth in the Bay Area are re- <br /> sponsible for causing the capacity of the new South Bayside System <br /> Authority (SBSA) sanitary sewer facility to be inadequate before it <br /> begins operation, all allocations will not be used immediately and <br /> steps have already been taken to expedite a 1984-85 plant expansion. <br /> Mr. Addiego also reported that plates being added to each filter press, <br /> a good source control program and good management of the plant will <br /> IF" combine to provide somewhat more sewage capacity than orginally <br /> expected. <br /> Joint Meeting <br /> Council/Ping. <br /> 6/30/80 <br /> 5 <br />
