The
proposal covers goals and policies; Land Use
Plan (2020) and Interim Land Use Plan (1990);
Standards; Proposed Implementation measures and
Environmental evaluation. Mr. Schroeter re-
ferred to the section on Goals which he stated p1"w
was the heart of the recommendation.
Mr. Schroeter presented a series of slides de- ""mi
picting the highway as it appears today, along
with companion artist's renderings of what it
might look like in the future.
He referred to hearings by the Planning Commis-
; sion where concern was expressed by some of the
businessmen that this was to take effect
immediately and put them out of business, but
that the intention is to take the opportunity
to make changes when the opportunity arises.
Mayor Biagi invited anyone in the audience to
speak. No one came forward to speak.
Discussion followed during which it was deter-
mined that in view of the interest demonstrated
at the Planning Commission level, it would be
desirable to mail notice to property owners on
El Camino Real in advance of the public
hearing.
M/S: Bury/Chandler to continue the public
hearing open to September 8, 1980, with notice
to be mailed to property owners on El Camino
Real.
Carried unanimously by voice vote.
MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-109
Reg.Mtg.
7/14/80
Page 6
ti ;
