Public Hearing - Planning Commission Planning Commission record transmitted 6/20/80 <br /> Resolution of Intention to rezone property <br /> at 703 and 711 Stambaugh Street from PO Mayor Biagi declared open at 9:45 p.m. <br /> (Professional Office) District to R-3 <br /> (Multi-family) District Affidavits of Publication and Mailing reported <br /> on file. <br /> Planning Director Schroeter recalled that there <br /> had been a small area recently rezoned in the <br /> same area from "PO" to "R-3" of County-owned <br /> land. That rezoning left these two lots still <br /> zoned "PO", and this action will simply bring <br /> them in conformance with the adjacent area. <br /> Mayor Biagi invited anyone in the audience who <br /> wished to speak to do so. Presentation of proposed plan for Fire Jrov Brown, of Lyon and Brown, 2260 Bay Road, <br /> Station #2 (Jefferson and Myrtle) architects for the proposed rebuilding of Fire <br /> Station No. 2, gave a slide presentation show- <br /> ing photographic slides of the existing facility <br /> at Jefferson and Myrtle, and architectural <br /> drawings of their proposal for a two story <br /> structure. Floor plans of the apparatus area <br /> and adjoining two-level section of the building <br /> were shown. The exterior was designed to blend <br /> with neighboring properties, and the heritage <br /> trees on the land will be preserved. A solar <br /> water heating system will be utilized and is <br /> expected to provide 75% of the hot water needed. <br /> The projected completion of the facility is <br /> anticipated to be the latter part of 1981. <br /> Chief O'Brien advised in response to question <br /> that they plan to show the films to the people <br /> in the area so that they will be informed re- <br /> garding the project. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 7/14/80 <br /> Page 7 <br />
