Presentation re Regional Bus Routes - Letter from Dr. Cross received 9/11/80 <br /> Woodside Charleston and Western Foothills <br /> by Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross, People's Advocate, <br /> representing Committee for Safe and Sensible <br /> San Francisquito Creek Area Routing, commented <br /> concerning the inadequacies she perceives in <br /> the bus routes in San Mateo County and between <br /> San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Dr. Cross <br /> used transparencies to depict her recommended <br /> Woodside Charleston Plan to be operated be- <br /> tween the Counties by SamTrans and her Western <br /> Foothills Plan to be operated between the <br /> Counties by Santa Clara County Transit District. <br /> Dr. Cross recommended that Council approve the <br /> Plans as a first step toward having them im- <br /> plemented by the responsible agencies. <br /> Council members observed that information re- <br /> garding cost, projected ridership, availability <br /> of equipment, the point of view of the transit <br /> authorities of both Counties, etc. would have to <br /> be surveyed before any Council expression of <br /> position on the matter could be made. <br /> M/S: Britschgi/Stangel to thank Dr. Cross for <br /> her presentation on her recommended bus route <br /> plans and to request that she provide copies <br /> of the Plans to the City staff for review at- <br /> such time as any problems arise relating to <br /> bus routes in the City. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 80-154 <br /> Dr. Cross advised that she would provide copies <br /> of the Plans when requested to do so by the <br /> City, when the City is ready to act or make <br /> recommendation to SamTrans. <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> None None <br /> REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER • <br /> 3.
