In response to statements regarding the hazardous and unattractive condition <br /> of the Southern Pacific Station, Councilman Norris, member of Sam Trans, ad- <br /> vised that SP is reluctant to do anything about the station which needs <br /> substantial refurbishing and expansion, because they are only about two <br /> months away from signing an agreement with Cal/Trans. It was suggested <br /> that a strong letter of objection to the condition of the station and <br /> calling attention to the need for lighting in the area be sent to SP. <br /> Mayor Rhodes agreed to send such a letter.
