Approval of request for proposals and Report of City Manager 5/15/80 <br /> solicitation of proposals for integrated Report of Director of Finance 5/5/80. <br /> on-line Municipal Information System <br /> In response to questions, City Manager Fales <br /> advised that since the Fire Station remodeling <br /> for probable use by the Finance Department will <br /> not take place for more than a year, the equip- <br /> ment would be installed at the present office <br /> at 702 Marshall; that the equipment is <br /> relatively easy to move; that the County will <br /> demonstrate its System for the Council; that <br /> considerable lead-time is required for the kind <br /> of equipment proposed; that the proposal is <br /> phased beyond the date for budget adoption; <br /> that the South Bayside System Authority (SBSA) <br /> is expected to participate in an agreement with <br /> the City for use of the new equipment; that the <br /> equipment is expected to be able to be avail- <br /> able for use by the public safety departments <br /> on a 24-hour basis, if needed; that no new <br /> staff is involved; and that the proposal is <br /> written so that the City may make an indepen- <br /> dent decision with regard to selling or trading <br /> in the present equipment. <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> INTEGRATED ON-LINE MUNICIPAL INFORMATION Title read. Professional services agreement - Chestnut Report of City Manager 5/15/80 <br /> Park (Singer and Hodges) Joint report of Director of Public Works and <br /> Director of Parks and Recreation 5/14/80 <br /> Councilman Leipzig stated for the record that <br /> renovation of Chestnut Street Park has been on <br /> the City's priority list for some time, but <br /> funds have not been available from the capital <br /> outlay fund for the project. She noted that at <br /> this time funds are available in the Community <br /> Development Block Grant Fund which may be used <br /> ,..., for the kind of improvements needed. <br /> In response to question, City Manager Fales <br /> twig advised that fencing of the park will vary de- <br /> pending upon whether it is used to separate the <br /> park from adjacent residences or decorative on <br /> the open sides. <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING Title read.
