Marina Shores Village Project Final EIR
City of Redwood City Mitigation Monitoring Chec r ;list
May 18, 2004 EXHIBIT B Pagel
Attachment 3
MARINA SHORES VILLAGE PROJECT- -
MITIGATION MONITORING CHECKLIST
1. ATTACHED MITIGATION IMPLEMENTATION CHECKLIST
CEQA section 21081.6 of the Public Resources Code requires all public agencies to adopt
reporting or monitoring programs when they approve projects subject to environmental impact
reports (EIRs) or mitigated negative declarations (MNDs). Accordingly, a mitigation monitoring
checklist for implementation of the mitigation measures identified in Final EIR for the project- -
i.e., for the selected Marina Shores Village Project Alternative 6' - -is attached hereto.
Most of the environmental mitigation measures that have been recommended for this
alternative in the Final EIR are implementable and subject to effective monitoring through the
City's normal general plan amendment, rezoning, subdivision, grading, site and design
(architectural) review, and building permit approval procedures, as well as during associated
plan check and field inspection procedures. However, to satisfy CEQA section 21081.6, a
documented record of implementation will be necessary.
To meet this monitoring requirement, the attached checklist includes spaces for identifying:
(1) each mitigation measure identified in the Final EIR; (2) the party responsible for
implementing that mitigation measure and any related requirements with respect to the timing
of implementation; and (3) the party responsible for performing mitigation monitoring, and
(4) information on the type and required timing implications of the monitoring procedures.
A verification column is also provided for the signature and date of the "monitoring and
verification" entity when a monitoring milestone is reached.
2. FUTURE CHANGES IN THE PROJECT OR PROJECT CIRCUMSTANCES
The project applicant anticipates that the project will be developed over a period of ten or more
years. Over that time period, changes nay occur in the project or the circumstances under
which the project is undertaken which require revisions to the EIR impact or mitigation findings.
For example, changes may occur in the project site plan, floor area breakdown, number of
residential units, residential density, commercial floor area, floor area ratio, number of hotel
'Alternative 6: Residential /Commercial - -Same Residential, Reduced Commercial, with Reduced
Building Heights, Reduced Marina Fill, Added 200 -Room Hotel and Increased Retail, Plus Transit and
TDM Provisions.
WP9.016451 M/T- IMP- CHKLST.645
