Revegetate all disturbed areas at the onset (October) of the first winter rainy season following the completion of construction, and at a similar time during the next one to two years as required to fully revegetate the site. Use of an erosion control grass and forb mixture, favoring native species, is best suited to this task. In addition, install biodegradable surface erosion protection (e.g., natural mulch, jute netting, erosion control blankets, punched straw) to reduce the erosive energy of incoming raindrops for at least the first winter season following construction.
