. .._._ <br /> � G1 � <br /> EXHIBIT C: GRANTEE COMMITMENT TO PEG ACCESS FACILITIES <br /> AND EQUIPMENT <br /> 1. INTERCONNECTION OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS <br /> Grantee shall connect, at no installation charge, the buildings listed in <br /> Figure 1, to the closest node of the Cable System, under the following <br /> conditions: <br /> (a) Activated interactive (bi-directional) communications capability, as <br /> defined in Section 5.2, shall be provided between all the Priority buildings and <br /> locations listed in Figure 1A, and the closest node, no later than the time of <br /> completion of the System construction. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7.1 <br /> of this Agreement, Grantee shall provide, at no charge, one (1) installation and <br /> monthly service for the highest speed regular Internet access (cable modem) <br /> service to the buildings designated in Figure 1A at such time Grantee offers such <br /> service to any Subscribers served by the same node as serves said buildings. <br /> Additional Internet access services shall be provided upon request, at a discount <br /> of not less than twenty percent (20%) from Grantee's lowest comparable <br /> commercial rate. <br /> (b) A point of demarcation shall be established within each public <br /> building. Grantee shall be responsible for acquiring, installing, operating and <br /> maintaining all networking equipment and facilities on the network side of the <br /> demarcation point. Each PEG Access user shall be responsible for acquiring, <br /> installing, operating and maintaining all equipment on its side of the point of <br /> demarcation necessary to interFace with and utilize Grantee's network. <br />
