Launder: <br /> Contractor shall launder rented uniforms. City employees may launder rented uniforms <br /> themselves, on occasion. Contractor shall supply bins to City to store soiled uniforms for pickup. <br /> Contractor shall supply lockers to City for storage of uniforms. Clothing shall be ironed and <br /> pressed or run through the steam tunnel for a crisp finished product. <br /> Contract Term: <br /> One (1) year contract with City having option for two (2) one-year extensions. <br /> Rental: <br /> The Contractor shall provide uniform rental and cleaning services for approximately one <br /> hundred (100) employees who work for the Public Works Division at: 1400 Broadway Street, <br /> Redwood City, CA 94063. Departments are: Auto, Bathroom, Custodial, Equipment, Facility, <br /> Meter, Paint, Signs, Parking Meter, Storm, Streets, Tree House and Water. <br /> Inventory Tracking (Initial Issue, Inventory, Changes): <br /> Contractor shall issue new standard uniforms to employees at the beginning of the contract <br /> period as specified by each Public Works Division. Thereafter, the Contractor shall maintain <br /> sufficient stock to provide complete new uniform sets within one week for newly hired <br /> employees. <br /> At time of contract award, the City's division designee will contact the Contractor's Account <br /> Representative to determine quantities, volumes, frequency of pickup and general overall <br /> program administration. <br /> The inventory per person per week will be based upon the previous year's usage and are only <br /> estimated for future requirements. The number of changes per employee per week shall be at <br /> the discretion of the City and is subject to change to meet changing requirements of the City <br /> operations. <br /> Measurements of Individuals: <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for individual measurements and actual fit of the uniforms. <br /> Measurements of all City workers to be supplied uniforms shall be completed within thirty (30) <br /> days of contract award. Contractor shall provide uniforms for all employees. From size XS - <br /> 6XL and size 28 inseam to 36 inseam with waist size 28 to 60. All uniforms, when issued at the <br /> initial start of service must be new, and used uniforms shall be issued to the City's image <br /> requirements during the period of the contract. Contractor shall provide new or slightly used <br /> replacement garments though U.S. Communities Program, that meet the City image <br /> requirements at no extra cost when the uniform has reached the end of its life span. Contractor <br /> shall take employee measurements at various City facilities. <br /> Contractor shall work with individual City divisions/departments to coordinate dates and times <br /> for measurements.
