Historic District Discussion
<br /> If the project were located in an historic district, then the project would be evaluated for its
<br /> compatibility with the district using design guidelines for the historic districts, if any were
<br /> established, or for its compatibility with the character-defining features of the district. In such
<br /> cases, the form, massing, scale, and other factors of the project would be evaluated for
<br /> consistency with the distinct. Because the area on both sides of El Camino Real where the
<br /> project is located is not an historic district, these elements of compatibility do not apply from a
<br /> historic preservation aspect.
