11 . The applicant/contractor shall apply for and obtain an Encroachment Permit <br /> from the Community Development Department (CDD), and pay for all plan <br /> check and inspection services related to the permit. Work covered by the <br /> encroachment permit would include: <br /> r Work in the City's public right-of-way, easements or property in which <br /> the City holds an interest. <br /> v On-Site Grading and drainage, if the project meets the thresholds <br /> where a grading permit is required . If a permit is required , a Plot and <br /> Finished Grading Plan shall be prepared by a California registered Civil <br /> Engineer. <br /> 12 . Applicant shall be limited to one sewer lateral for the project. <br /> 13 . Project must meet fire flow requirements as established by the Fire <br /> Department which are based on the Fire Code. Fire flow tests are typically <br /> performed during the preliminary design phase but must be completed prior to <br /> submittal of final design . Applicant shall contact the Fire Department for fire <br /> flow requirements, and then submit a written fire flow test request to <br /> Engineering . <br /> 14 . The existing water main serving the project site is a 6" main . Prior to issuance <br /> of any grading or encroachment permit, applicant shall submit to City, and <br /> obtain approval of, an evaluation and report, prepared by a licensed engineer, <br /> in conformance with the City's Engineering Standards, demonstrating that the <br /> existing water main meets the domestic and fire flow requirements in <br /> accordance with City Code Section 38 .26 and the International Fire Code. If <br /> the existing water main is not sufficient as determined by the City Engineer, <br /> applicant shall , as part of the Project, construct and install new water mains <br /> sufficient to meet such requirements, in accordance with the City's <br /> Engineering Standards and as directed by the City Engineer. <br /> 15 . Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume III , Part II of the City's <br /> Engineering Standards (www.redwoodcity.orq/cds/engineering/standards/design/PartVJ. Soil or <br /> other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right-of-way. <br /> Applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be imported to or <br /> exported from the site. <br /> 16. Post-construction runoff into the storm drain shall not exceed pre-construction <br /> runoff levels .
