9.D. - Page 2 <br /> the applications received met the residency and voter status requirements. One <br /> applicant did not qualify due to not meeting the residency requirement. <br /> The next step in the process was for the City Council to review all applications selecting <br /> those it wanted to interview. Those applicants selected by four or more Council <br /> Members were invited for interviews. The Council selected to interview the two <br /> applicants to the Board of Building Review and three applicants to the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> One of the selected applicants to the Planning Commission seat currently serves as the <br /> Chair of the Parks Recreation and Community Services Commission. This applicant is <br /> aware that should she be appointed to the Planning Commission seat she will need to <br /> resign from the current seat. <br /> The Council conducted interviews of the selected applicants on April 27, 2015 prior to <br /> the Council Meeting and all applicants were in attendance. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council could chose to not fill these seats which might cause quorum challenges for <br /> these two Boards, Commissions and Committees. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Boards, Commissions and Committees' recruitment and appointments are part of the <br /> City Council's operations and included in the budget. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> Not a project under CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act). <br /> rA <br /> SILVIA VONDERLINDEN <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> t5 (2°-4- tt <br /> FOR ROBERT B.
