55. Building Materials Specifications - Buried metal infrastructure shall have cathodic <br /> protecting using a sacrificial anode system that conforms to Part VII (G) of the City's <br /> water system design criteria and standard specification details Section 02661. <br /> Additionally, concrete mixes shall conform to Caltrans specifications for Protection of <br /> Reinforcement Against Corrosion Due to Chlorides, Acids, and Sulfates as outlined in <br /> the Memo to Designers 10-5, January 2002.[SDR][BUILDING] <br /> 56. C3 Requirements - Plans shall be designed to meet C3 requirements of the Municipal <br /> Regional Permit (MRP) NPDES Permit CAS 612008. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> a. Treatment Controls—Treatment controls shall be designed and sized to treat <br /> run-off from the entire project (including all existing, new, and/or replaced <br /> impervious areas) using flow or volume based sizing criteria specified in <br /> Provision C.3.d of the Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit. <br /> i. Applicant shall coordinate installation of stormwater treatment <br /> measures with the municipality and shall arrange to have the City's <br /> designated inspector present at the time of installation. <br /> ii. Applicant shall arrange for final inspection of installed stormwater <br /> treatment measure by the City's designated inspector within 45 days of <br /> installation or project construction completion, whichever comes first. <br /> b. Low Impact Design (LID) — LID treatment measures to be shown on final <br /> improvement or grading plans shall not differ materially from the LID treatment <br /> measures presented on the project's Vesting Tentative Map, approved on <br /> without written approval from the Planning Department. <br /> c. No Dumping — All drain inlets shall be clearly marked with the words "No <br /> Dumping! Flows to Bay,"or equivalent using thermoplastic material or a plaque. <br /> d. Non-LID - Design of non-LID treatment measures shall be consistent with <br /> applicable technical guidance in Chapter 6 of the C.3 Technical Guidance. <br /> e. Use of Copper-Projects with architectural copper should, if possible, purchase <br /> copper materials that have been pre-patinated at the factory. Whether <br /> patination is done offsite or onsite, applicant should consider coating the <br /> copper materials with an impervious coating that prevents further corrosion and <br /> runoff. If patination is done on-site, implement one or more of the following: <br /> i. Discharge the rinse water to landscaping. Ensure that the rinse water <br /> does not flow to the street or storm drain. Block off storm drain inlet if <br /> needed. <br /> Collect rinse water in a tank and pump to the sanitary sewer. Contact <br /> your local sanitary sewer agency before discharging to the sanitary <br /> sewer. <br /> iii. Collect the rinse water in a tank and haul off-site for proper disposal. <br /> 57. Winterizing - If construction is not complete by the start of the wet season (October 1 <br /> through April 30), the applicant shall implement a winterization program to minimize the <br /> potential for erosion and sedimentation.
