Dr. Bell clarified that the <br /> nexus study refers to the 21 Elements Study (Housing Nexus Study) and when it comes <br /> out from the �aunty and the results will be released in late spring. <br /> While Council is aware of possible future economic constraints, the consensus was to <br /> direct staff to prepare the final framework for Partnership RWC (a Community Benefits <br /> Program) including these components: new fees, onsite community improvements and <br /> a community fund. Staff should proceed with nexus fee studies related to affordable <br /> housing, parks, transportation, and contact the School District about school impact fees. <br /> Staff should also pursue a Percent for Art program and Transportation Demand <br /> Management ordinance. City Council Member Report of Conferences Attended <br /> Council Member Bain attended on Friday night the Women's Hall of Fame at Canada <br /> College and really enjoyed the event. He provided some information on those who were <br /> recognized. <br /> Vice Mayor Foust attended a recent event held an event by Congresswoman Jackie <br /> Speer's event on the topic of Housing and the experience of the San Mateo County <br /> Community College District in Millbrae, and she will share the information packet to the <br /> City Clerk for dissemination to the City Council. <br /> Mayor Gee provided an update on the City Manager recruitment and community <br /> members and a search firm has been selected. Council is working with a recruiter and <br /> they have a draft timeline for this recruitment and on April the search will be out on the <br /> streets and the search will occur through mid-day and then in June the Council will <br /> probably be meeting with candidates. Mayor Gee said that there will be an online <br /> survey for the community to provide input on what they would like to see on the new <br /> City Manager. <br /> Mayor Gee announced the upcoming BCC recruitment and he provided deadlines. He <br /> also attended the Mayor's on Wheels event and he really enjoyed Sandra, Ray, Arturo <br /> and his driver Maggie. He also announced the two upcoming State of the City <br /> Addresses and a Town Hall meeting on April 20 at the Kennedy School. <br /> B. City Council Committee Reports <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update <br /> Dr. Bell said that he will be posting what he has enjoyed about working for Redwood <br /> City and hopefully that will help the new City Manager. He also spoke about the <br /> Crossing 900 project and how there has been a lot of concern and he confirmed that the <br /> developer and staff have been working together and they will comply with the City <br /> standard.
