ATTY/RESO.3095/CC RESO SEAPORT BLVD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br />REV: 05-29-15 VR <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. ________ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION STATING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO EXTEND, WITHOUT A RATE <br />INCREASE, THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, <br />ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING AND ASSESSMENT BALLOT <br />PROCEEDING IN CONNECTION WITH THAT EXTENSION, AND <br />TAKING CERTAIN OTHER ACTIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE <br />EXTENSION AND THE 2015-2016 LEVY OF THE ANNUAL <br />ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby finds and declares that: <br />(a) By its Resolution No. 10560, adopted on July 27, 1987, the City Council <br />established the Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District (the “District”) <br />pursuant to the Redwood City Maintenance District Ordinance (Article XII of Chapter 18 <br />of the Redwood City Municipal Code) (the “Ordinance”). <br />(b) Since the establishment of the District, the City has levied, pursuant to the <br />alternative method set forth in Section 18.100 et seq. of the Ordinance, an annual <br />assessment (the “Annual Assessment”) against real property in the District (the <br />“Assessed Parcels”) to fund certain maintenance expenses (the “Maintenance Work”) <br />associated with public landscaping, storm drain and retention pond facilities that serve <br />the District (the “Facilities”). <br />(c) The boundaries of the District are shown on a map entitled, “Proposed <br />Boundary of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District, in the City of <br />Redwood City”, which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br />7.2.F. - Page 4
