Staff will <br />report annually on the goals and outcome measures within each Initiative and will adjust <br />program activities as appropriate to ensure the achievement of the intended results for <br />the Redwood City community. Going forward, this report will be presented in one <br />document that consolidates the City’s previously overlapping Strategic Initiative Update <br />and Annual Report. Staff is currently working to identify data sources for outcome <br />measurement and tools for more frequent, visual reporting of these measures. In <br />accordance with Council feedback during its February discussion of the draft Plan, staff <br />will also continue to refine the measures so that they better capture desired, positive <br />end results and will work to develop baseline data and establish benchmarks. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council could direct that staff make changes to the Strategic Plan document. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a “project” under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as <br />defined in CEQA Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in <br />either a direct or foreseeable physical change in the environment. <br /> <br />AUDREY SEYMOUR RAMBERG <br />ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> <br />9.B - Page 2
