Task 3. Project Prioritization, Assessment Calculations, and Report
Task 3a. Project Prioritization
Consultant will prioritize the proposed projects identified in Task 2b. Consultant will
meet with City staff to review the projects and evaluate the critical projects that would
result in failure or poor performance of the system. Projects will be ranked and given an
expected date for repair for the upcoming budget cycle.
Task 3b. Assessment Calculations
Assessments will not be calculated as part of this Agreement.
Task 3c. Consultant will also include Exhibits from as-built and record information, as
needed.
Task 3d. Potential FEMA FIRM Revisions —Technical Memo and Exhibits
It is expected that FEMA will be updating the Flood Insurance Rate Maps in July of
2015 and that the District will be impacted by the potential updates. Specifically,
improvements to the existing levee and flood protection systems may be necessary.
The survey of levee heights will be plotted on a similar plan and profile as previous
levee height survey. Conceptual level calculation of the volumes and costs which it will
take to raise the levees, both the earthen levees and the structural wall portions, from
the present condition to the anticipated new FEMA standard of Elev. 112.0 (mean sea
level =100 ft.) expected to be stated on the Conditional Maps due in July, 2015. This
particular rough order of estimate will not be prepared with bid-level unit prices,
geotechnical design requirements or permit approval timing and costs in hand.
A technical memorandum will be provided that describes the evaluation and identies
the construction costs. Exhibits showing the levee elevations relative to the anticipated
BFE of 112.0 will be attached to the memo.
Time Frame
Upon receipt of notice to proceed, the Consultant shall commence work and complete
all tasks listed in Scope of Services. All work shall be completed on or before June 12,
2015, with the dates for the submission of specific deliverables shall be as follows:
1.
