Dangerous Animal Designations <br />1. Issue Dangerous Animal tags when an animal has been so <br />designated by a peace officer employed by any City or County or <br />the Animal Control Contractor as such; and <br />2. The County will invoice annually and make reasonable efforts to <br />collect applicable fees for Dangerous Animal Permit holders; and <br />3. Monitor data received from Animal Control Contractor; and <br />4. Send monthly updated reports to each City’s representative. <br /> <br />p. Pursuant to Section 3.6, for the administrative convenience of each <br />City, and acting as a representative of each City, conduct <br />administrative hearings for Dangerous and Vicious Animal <br />designations under the guidelines of the applicable City’s ordinance. <br />q. Pursuant to Section 3.6, for the administrative convenience of each <br />City and acting as a representative of each City, conduct mandatory <br />spay/neuter and/or fancier permit administrative hearings under the <br />guidelines of the applicable City’s ordinance, if any. <br />r. Work with San Mateo County veterinarians to ensure anti-rabies <br />vaccination reporting as required by the County. <br /> <br />t. Receive, import, and export licensing and vaccination information <br />from the Animal Licensing Contractor into the Animal Control <br />Contractor database and vice versa on a weekly basis. <br /> <br />u. Under the guidance of the County’s Health Officer, review and <br />process requests from pet owners to exempt their pet from the <br />requirement to obtain a anti-rabies vaccination as required by State <br />law or County ordinance and report annually to the Department of <br />Public Health. <br /> <br />v. Attend the Animal Control Contractor’s monthly vaccination clinic in <br />an on-going effort to educate pet owners on the importance of <br />vaccinating and licensing dogs and cats that reside in the County <br />and the Cities. <br />
