. � REG:yc :10/2/5Q-7 <br /> ORDI NANC E N0. 963 <br /> AN ORDIItTA1�TCE �F ThE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVII�G <br /> THE AI�TNF�CATION T(} THE Cl2'Y OF REDWOOD CITY OF CER- <br /> T�iIN UNINHABI TED TERRI TORY DESIGNATED "SEQUOIA <br /> 'I'ERR,ACE" AND HEREIl� DES�RIBED, AI�7D I�EREIN A�ING <br /> SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDW04D CITY <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES �RDAIN AS �'OLLOWS: <br /> WHEREA3, on the 17th day of .�ugust, 1959, there was filed <br /> with this Council a petition requesting the annexation to the <br /> City of Redwood City of all the territor;� designated "Sequ.oia <br /> Terrace"; and, <br /> wHL'REAS, this Council ha.s raceived evidence showing that, and <br /> finds that, a written description of the proposal to annex said <br /> territorg to the City of Redwood City was Filed with the Secretary <br /> of the Boundary Commission of San Nateo County, California, on <br /> June 8, 1959, a.�d that sa3.d Boundary Commission has prepared, <br /> or caused to be prepared, a report to �he proponents of said an- <br /> ne�ation upon said annexation proposal, a11 as required by law, <br /> and that said Boundary Commiss3.on has approved the boundaries of <br /> said proposed annexation; and has received eviden.ce showing, and <br /> finds that �he above mentioned petition was not circulated, signed <br /> or filed with this Council until after said Commission had made <br /> said report and had approved said boundaries; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this �ouncil has �'u.rther received evidence showing, <br /> and f�.nds: <br /> 1. That said terri�ory is situate iirm�ediately ad�acent to <br /> and touches and is :.:contiguous to the boundaries of the City of <br /> Redwood City; and, <br /> 2. That less tha.n twelve registered voters resided ti,rithin <br /> said territory at the time the above mentioned petition was filed <br /> with this Couneil, and that said territory is therefore uninhab- <br /> ited; snd, <br />
