The Park 5uperintendent <br /> shall be responsible for the administration of this ordinance and <br /> shall supervise, direct and control the planting, setting out, <br /> locating and placing of all trees in the public streets, and shail <br /> supervise, direct and control the care, trimming, removing, re- <br /> locating and replacing of all trees located within the pub lic <br /> streets or overhanging the public streets. <br /> SECTION 8. Prohibited Trees. Some types of trees, upon <br /> maturing, instead of becoming assets to the community, become <br /> liabilities due to structural weaknesses, disease or insect <br /> susceptibility, short life, destructive root systems, and rank <br /> growing branches requiri.ng excessive maintenance.
