7.1.J. - Page 18
CONSULTANT will update the previous graphical rendering prepared in April 2015, based on the
comments from the public meeting, if the rendering requires a new base plan due to significant
design changes.
0S3 — NEIGHBORHOOD MARKERS or CUSTOM FURNISHINGS
CONSULTANT will use information from the public outreach process and Workshops to design
Neighborhood Markers or other custom design element. The level of effort for this task will
depend on the complexity of the system selected. Design team will provide a more in -depth
scope of work for this task if it is determined to be included in the project,
0S4 — ALLOWANCE FOR FOLLOW - UP PUBLIC OUTREACH AFTER WORKSHOP #2
Shared spaces or other team member will be available for 40 hours of follow -up coordination
with the community after the August 12 community meeting.
OSS — ALLOWANCE FOR ADDITIONAL RIGHT OF WAY RESEARCH
Under separate agreement consultant has collected several deeds confirming City right of way
necessary to construct the project. Currently there are 4 properties within the area that do not
have final deeds confirming the City right of way for the sidewalk widening. This task allows for
24 additional hours of research at the County records Department.
0S6 GEOTECHNICAL REPORT
Upon approval of this task, CONSULTANT will retain a geotechnical engineer to perform
pavement coring and prepare a report with pavement design and earthwork design
parameters. If a report is not included in the project, CONSULTANT will work with City staff to
develop standard pavement section thicknesses as part of Basic Services.
0S7 — PARKING PROTECTED BIKE LANES
As part of the preliminary design process and workshop #2 the City and Design Team may elect
to change the April 2015 design to include parking protected bike lanes. This design approach
will require: a) updating the preliminary design layout of the January 2015 plan which was a
traditional parking and bike lane arrangement, b) additional RHAA landscape design for the .
island and bike buffer, c) RHAA added work to revise the rendering, d) additional traffic signal
modifications and loops for the intersection design, and striping design enhancement for Traffic
Patterns. Updating the preliminary design layout of the January 2015 plan will be completed as
part of the Streetscape Preliminary Design agreement to Bellecci.
Page 15of17
REV: 07 -1445 VR
ATTY /AGR.2015.143/Bellecci & Associates - Middlefield Road Streetscape
