7.1.J. - Page 17 <br /> conformance with California State Water Resource Control Board's Construction General Permit <br /> (CGP), including uploads to the SMARTS system. The erosion and sediment control plan will be <br /> included in the plan set as a minimum example to the Contractor, with the contractor <br /> ultimately responsible for conforming the CGP. <br /> TASK 10 — QUALITY CONTROL PLAN REVIEW <br /> CONSULTANT will retain outside licensed engineer (defined as a qualified engineer who is not <br /> part of the design team) to review the plans, specifications and estimate. The outside plan <br /> checker will meet with design team to review comments. Comments from the outside review <br /> will be incorporated into the plans set and specifications. <br /> TASK 11 99% PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATE <br /> CONSULTANT will update the plans, specifications, and estimate following the City and utility <br /> company review period. Also, CONSULTANT will incorporate revisions from the outside plan <br /> review. Provide written response to City comments. <br /> TASK 12 — BID PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATE <br /> CONSULTANT will update the plans, specifications, and estimate following the City and utility <br /> company review period. This submittal is intended to be a back -check of the 99% submittal by <br /> the City PM and CONSULTANT PM prior to bidding and may not require a full circulation of the <br /> plans to all departments. The bid submittal will be one set of electronic files and one signed <br /> hard copy plan set. <br /> TASK 13 — BOILERPLATE AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> In addition to the technical specifications, CONSULTANT will assist City with the boilerplate <br /> specifications and the special provisions. This task will include making the first pass at editing <br /> the City standard boilerplate specifications and the special provisions with project specific <br /> information. Many of the items will require discussion and coordination with City staff for <br /> administrative requirements included in the contract documents. City will prepare the final <br /> version of the boilerplate specifications and the special provisions prior to advertising the <br /> project. <br /> OPTIONAL. SERVICES (05) <br /> Listed below are services not included in the basic contract work but may be added upon <br /> written authorization from the City: <br /> 051 POTHOLING <br /> CONSULTANT will retain potholing contractor to expose existing utilities at select locations. <br /> Potholing contractor will follow City requirements for working hours and lane closure on public <br /> street. The potholing contractor will mark a set of plans to indicate depth, diameter and <br /> location of existing pipe.
