The <br /> limits of work on the side streets will be as shown on the April 2015 exhibit, and the intent is to <br /> improve the curbs and sidewalk on the side streets only as needed to construct the bulbouts. <br /> Technical Specifications will be included in the 65% submittal, using the City standard technical <br /> specifications format. The 65% submittal for the specifications will incorporate the relevant <br /> spec sections into the submittal package, but the spec sections will not be refined or made <br /> project specific until the 95% submittal, Also, measurement and payment will be included in <br /> the 95% submittal. <br /> CONSULTANT will prepare a 65% construction cost estimate. Unit costs will be unit prices from <br /> recent similar projects in the Bay Area, The 65% estimate will show a 15% design contingency <br /> and a 10% construction contingency, unless otherwise directed by City. Design contingency will <br /> be reduced for the 90% and 99% submittals. <br /> Prior to the 65% submittal to the City, The design team will coordinate an internal pre submittal <br /> from the design team members to review the plan set and make corrections prior to City <br /> submittal. After review of the pre submittal, the design team members will review and <br /> resubmit the plans for formal submittal to the City. For the 65 %, 90 %, & 99% submittals the <br /> design team will submit five full size sets of plans, specifications and estimates, along with a <br /> PDF copy of the plans, specifications and estimates. <br /> TASK 8 — SUBMITTAL REVIEW MEETINGS <br /> CONSULTANT will budget one review meeting for each submittal of plans, specifications, and <br /> cost estimate. The plan review meeting is proposed to be within one week of the plan <br /> submittal to assist in moving the project design forward. The schedule will allow for the City <br /> and utility companies to have 3 weeks for plan review; however design team will be able to <br /> proceed with project design based on the submittal review meeting within one week of the <br /> submittal. The timing of the submittal review meeting can be adjusted to accommodate City <br /> staff schedule. The project design budget assumes the schedule proceeds from preliminary to <br /> final design bid documents without lengthy delays or work stoppage of more than 3 months. <br /> TASK 9 — 90% PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTIMATE <br /> CONSULTANT will update the plans, specifications, and estimate following the City and utility <br /> company review period. The 90% plans will include the project details and utility invert <br /> elevations. Also the 90% specifications will include deletions and edits to standard technical <br /> specifications sections, and will add in the measurement and payment clauses. The budget for <br /> this project assumes there are no significant layout changes after the 65% design is submitted. <br /> Provide written response to City comments. <br /> CONSULTANT will prepare calculations of the SWPPP Risk Level to be included in the project <br /> plans and specifications for the purpose of informing the bidders of the Risk level 1 or 2 <br /> required for SWPPP.
