The building is
painted dark tan with white and light tan trim. Two two- and -a -half story blocks flank a taller central portion featuring a
projecting theatre marquee. Looking to the right (west), the stores at 2219 -2225 Broadway are set around a highly decorated
entrance. A Tudor arch with a cable molding crowns the opening; elaborate plasterwork ornamentation trims the arch. This
ornamentation is loosely Gothic in style with a large cartouche in the center. The arch covers a long entry hall, leading to two,
paired, wooden doors. An arched transom stands above the doors. The walls of the entry hall are lined with Gothic arched
openings and a vaulted ceiling. Storefronts on either side of this entryway have plate glass windows, and are covered by
canopies. A second, less ornamented door, with wooden sash and a sidelight, is located at the far right. Just above the
canopies on the next story, are three pairs of three -light fixed windows. Alternating thick and thin shafts, which run the vertical
length of the facade, separate these windows. Above these paired windows, are a series of small, blind, Gothic arches.
On the seenncl full story is a row of six dnuhle -hums windows with three liuhts over one Above these winclnws at the
SEE CONTINUATION SHEET
8.
