Recommendations for the Redwood City 2000 Healthy Community Strategic Planning by <br /> the City Council, Redwood City School District Board of Trustees, and the Sequoia Union <br /> High School District Board of Trustees: (304) <br /> REPORT: Redwood City 2000 Coordinator, April 22, 1996 <br /> Redwood City 2000 Coordinator Beth Ross thanked the Council for its interest and <br /> support of Redwood City 2000 and the healthy communities concept. Coordinator Ross <br /> said the Coordinating Committee had listened to the Council's concerns at the historic <br /> March 18, 1996 joint meeting and the written report responded to those concerns. <br /> Coordinator Ross said the Committee had used the Council's input to examine and fine <br /> tune their process to maintain strong communication between the Committee, the Council <br /> and the Community Action Team. Coordinator Ross thanked Vice Mayor Howard for <br /> agreeing to represent the Council. She agreed that early successes and the involvement of <br /> the banking community were important and were being addressed. Dani Gasparini <br /> Devincenzi, Redwood City 2000 Chairperson, is joining Bay Area Bank as an assistant <br /> vice president for business development and would represent the banking community. <br /> In response to Council questions, Coordinator Ross said the Redwood City 2000 <br /> Executive Committee was appointed by the funding agencies and the group agreed to meet <br /> in July and assess the composition of the group and take all recommendations into account <br /> at that time. She said the newsletter and minutes of the meetings of the Community <br /> Action Team (the core planning group) and the Coordinating Committee will be sent to the <br /> Council.
