Certificate of Recognition to Peter UcceIli, honored by the Governor in Sacramento on <br /> May 8, 1996 acknowledging the value of older workers in today's workforce and the <br /> exemplary efforts of employers to increase employment opportunities for older workers; <br /> Mayor Hartnett presented the Certificate of Recognition to Peter UcceIli thanking him <br /> for being such a special friend to Redwood City over the years and for promoting not only <br /> the value of older workers but family values as well. Mr.Uccelli also received a standing <br /> ovation. <br /> Mr. UcceIli called his wife and helpmate, Paula, to his side and said he was glad to do what <br /> he could for Redwood City and thanked his wife for all that she did for him and the <br /> community. Mr. UccelIi thanked the Council for recognizing and honoring his Governor's <br /> Award. <br /> Councilwoman La Berge added that Pete and Paula really deserved all the awards they <br /> received and so many, many more for all the good things they do behind the scenes for so <br /> many people in the community. Council report on the Proclamation given to George Blondino on June 2, 1996 at a <br /> celebration honoring him for his thirty-five years as an outstanding role model, manager <br /> ~ and coach ofthe Woodside Plaza Little League team; <br /> Mayor Hartnett described the celebration and reunion held on June 2, 1996 honoring <br /> George BIondino for his 35 years (so far) as manager of the Woodside Plaza Little League <br /> team.
