The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> Virginia Ball served for 30 years in banking, worked tirelessly for the Redwood City <br /> community, received numerous commendations, served on the Civic Cultural <br /> Commission and is best remembered for her spirit of Christmas that led to her <br /> spearheading, "Tis the Season". <br /> Florence Tiedemann, former Finance Department employee from 1976-1993, working <br /> in the Sheriff's Department prior to that as a"matron" in the women's jail. She was a <br /> lifelong resident of Redwood City and a Sequoia High School alumni.
