PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A JAMES AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION, DESIGN CONCEPT, AND PUBLIC HEARING TO <br /> ESTABLISH UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1996-1 (I 00) <br /> I) Staff report and presentation describing the Concept Design Proposal for James <br /> Avenue; <br /> REPORT: Engineering Manager Patterson, October 21, 1996 <br /> Engineering Manager Patterson introduced Traffic Engineer Gee and Senior Civil <br /> Engineers Sue and Lee and alerted the Council that there are serious safety issues on <br /> James A venue and staff is working with the School Districts to resolve those <br /> problems. <br /> Traffic Engineer Gee using large and detailed drawings, including a full view of the <br /> James Avenue area under reconstruction from El Camino Real to Hudson Street, <br /> described and illustrated the proposed new design for James A venue. Engineer Gee <br /> added that the plan does not remove any trees, does provide "bus bays", adds <br /> additional signal and street lights, and adds more parking places. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------_n______------------------------------------------------------- <br /> AT 10:55 P.M.
