ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE iDF_THE TEXT OF THE 1961 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUI7�DING CODE, INCLUDING ALL PARTS OF TI� .APPENDIX THERETO, CONSISTING OF TWO VOLUMES ENTITLED "UNI- FfJRM BUILDING CODE, 1961 EDITION, VOLUME I, " :AND "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1961 EDITION, VOI,UME III, UNIFORM BUII,DING CODE STANDARDS, " .PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL .CONFER.EIdCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS, WITH AMENDMENTS, AS THE BUILDING Ct3DE QF THE CITY OF RED�WOOD CITY; PROVIDZNG PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLA— TION TI�REOF; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 925 THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO�WS: SECTION l. Pursuant to Section 50022.1 through 50022.10, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California, the text of that certain publication of the International Conference of Building Officials consisting of two volumes entitled "Uniform Building Code, 1961 Edition, Volume I," and "Uniform Building Coder 1961 Edition, Volume III, Uniform Building Code Standards," in- cluding Chapters 7, 23, 25 and 51, and no others, of the appendix thereto cantained in the aforementioned Volume I, hereinafter col- lectively referred to as "Building Code," is hereby adopted as the rules, regulations and standards within this City as to all matters therein contained except as herein otherwise provided. The mandatory requirements of the Appendix to the Building Code slhall be enforceab le to the same extent as if contained in the body of the Building Code. Three copies of the Building Code are and shall be at all times kept on file in the O�f].CE of the City Clerk. SECTION 2. Section 204 of the Building Code, providing tor a Board of Appeals, is hereby deleted and shall have no force or effect in the City of Redwood City. SECTION 3. The Building Code is hereby amended by adding thereto following Section 301 a new section to be numbered 301.1� said section to read as follows:
