SECTIOAt 4. The Building Code is hereby amended by adding thereto following Section 306 a new section to be numbered 307, said section to read as follows: "Section 307. (a) No building permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued by the Building Official if the structure to be constructed or altered� or the parcel of property in connection with which the permit or certificate is applied for„ fails to comply in any respect with the pro- visions of the following ordinances as they now exist or as they may from time to time be amended: 1. Ordinance No. 749, Structures in Creek Channels "In order to ascertain compliance with the above ordi- nances, the Building Official may refer any building permit application to any other City department for review. " (b) The provisions of this section shall not be con- strued to preclude the issuance of a building permit when there are previously or concurrently issued permits for im- provements which would eliminate any noncompliance with the above mentioned ordinances.
