<br /> REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 6-7-04 <br />1 and other great businesses; the gorgeous City Hall <br />2 that we're in right now in this great council and <br />3 meeting room, which, by the way, the buildings that <br />4 used to be here used to be one story, insignificant <br />5 buildings. <br />6 Grade separation at Jefferson. Take a look <br />7 at the grade separation and underpasses being done <br />8 in other cities, compared to what's been done here. <br />9 Franklin street, 208 unit mixed use <br />10 project, mostly vacant land surrounded by the <br />11 cyclone fence, take a look at what that <br />12 redevelopment project accomplished there. <br />13 Marshall street public garage; relocating <br />14 Redwood City School District for what is now the <br />15 retail cinema project; and most importantly, the <br />16 biggest redevelopment project of all, Redwood <br />17 City's incredible retail cinema project and two <br />18 story underground garage. <br />19 I want to say that towns are successful <br />20 because they're judged by their downtowns, and our <br />21 downtown has not been successful, but because of <br />22 the efforts of the Redevelopment Agency and private <br />23 investors, and people in this room, we love our <br />24 downtown.
