REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
live at 563 Scott Avenue.
And my neighbors are here , tonight, and I'd
like for our neighbors to go ahead and stand up.
My neighbors are here and I am here tonight
to present to you a petition from the residents of
Scott Avenue requesting the implementation of
traffic calming measures on our street.
Scott Avenue is narrower than the average
street. And in the past couple of years the level
of speeding and reckless driving has increased. We
are seeking to make our street safer for all,
especially our children. We are asking for your
help in preventing a possible tragedy.
We specifically support the installation of
speed humps and, additionally, one way traffic
control from Spring to Middlefield. If other
effective measures are available, we are open to
consider other suggestions.
We are requesting a change to improve our
children's safety by decreasing the speed of
traffic and allowing mothers and childrens to walk
on the sidewalk by eliminating the need to parked
cars blocking the sidewalk.
We thank you for your consideration and
request your support in making our street safer.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 11
(650) 952-0774
.-
