<br /> REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04 <br />1 project. I feel it's very important to come out <br />2 here and support a project like this. I don't want <br />3 to sound like a broken record, but, you know, the <br />4 housing and the jobs is a big deal for the <br />5 residents in and around Redwood City. <br />6 I'm hearing a lot of issues with this <br />7 project tonight and I - - I'm not sure if - - you <br />8 know, some of them - - I'm not sure if some of them <br />9 have merit and some of them can't be overcome, like <br />10 any other project of this size. <br />11 I visited Vancouver a while back, and <br />12 before I even knew that the designer of this <br />13 project was going after that look, it reminded me <br />\ <br />14 of that beautiful city. And I really think this <br />15 would be a great addition to Redwood City, in some <br />16 odd way might even draw and attract people to <br />17 Redwood City downtown. <br />18 To make a - - you know to make an argument <br />19 that a coffee shop and a small supermarket is going <br />20 to draw from downtown Redwood City, really, I don't <br />21 think has any merit, when we have a blossoming <br />22 downtown here. <br />23 So I just came down to show my support for <br />24 this beautiful project. <br />25 Thank you. <br /> UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 110 <br /> (650) 952-0774 <br /> -. , <br />
