REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
1 dedicated to very low income households,
( 2 potentially off site, but that would afford a
3 variety of positions, such as entry level teachers,
4 dental hygienists, bank tellers. We work with a
5 bank that provides some support to the work we do.
6 75 percent of the sort of line staff in this major
7 national bank would qualify for affordable housing,
8 you know, and that's an essential service to our
9 community.
10 We encourage your support and thank you for
11 listening.
12 MAYOR IRA: Thank you.
13 Lynne Trulio and then Joe LaClair.
(
14 MS. TRULIO: Good evening Council Members.
15 I'm Lynne Trulio and I'm a Redwood City resident.
16 And I'm here to request that you deny this project
17 as proposed. The planning department has laid out
18 three public policy issues and I -- listening to
19 them I really thought, you know, I think there's
20 another public policy issue before you, which is,
21 what will the impact be of the project on the rest
22 of Redwood City? And are those impacts worth it?
23 From the EIR, we know that the significant
24 impacts on Redwood City are many and unmitigatable.
\ 25 They can't - - they can't be mitigated. In
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 113
(650) 952-0774
.- ,
