I'm Robin Smith and I'm here <br /> 8 representing Sequoia Audubon Society, which is the <br /> 9 chapter of National Audubon in San Mateo County. <br /> 10 We've been following this project all along <br /> 11 and I would like to reiterate what the last two <br /> 12 speakers have said, but I'd also like to draw your <br /> 13 attention to the fact that it's in a really <br />! <br /> 14 environmentally sensitive area, and it's too high <br /> 15 and too dense and it's too full of concrete and <br /> 16 non -- not nonnative species, but species of plants <br /> 17 and trees that don't go in the baylands now. And <br /> 18 so the upshot is that you're putting a big project <br /> 19 right down in the middle of an environmentally <br /> 20 sensitive space, and it 'has no connection to the <br /> 21 environment around it. <br /> 22 It's as - - you already heard about the <br /> 23 towers will not be friendly for migrating birds, <br /> 24 it's he right in the middle of the Pacific fly way, <br /> 25 and they'll be lots of bird strikes in those <br /> UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 119 <br /> (650) 952-0774 <br /> .- " <br />
