REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
sooner rather than later, but there's no reason for
the city to have any liability for it.
The other thing that I think you should
have in the Development Agreement is that contrary
to Prop 13, all nonresidential areas of this be
reassessed every seven years or upon sale,
whichever comes first. And I think you can
contract around Prop 13.
Something like Oracle will never be
reassessed, it will never change hands. The part
of this which is corporate owned will similarly
never change hands. Someone talked about the City,
the cost of this, well, this is one way to protect
I,
it.
Basically I voted for all of you, some of
you several times, not in the same election, but I
'vo t e d for you to protect us from this not to
encourage it.
And I hope you're going to do that.
,Essentially this is a land use issue, and
we've got a decision to be made here on the use of
this land which is going to affect the entire City
eventually. I think voting for it by the City
might bring in a lot of debate and that might be a
good thing.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 129
(650) 952-0774
_.
