REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
we're comparing apples to oranges.
COUNCIL MEMBER BAIN: Thank you Council
Member Foust., I overlooked that, as the public can
imagine, we've got a lot of paperwork in front of
us.
Next question, moving on to a different
topic, is the traffic issue, sort intermingled with
the issue of competing with the downtown.
And I notice here that the EIR requlres
there be a shuttle, I've heard reference to three
trips a day between Marina Shores and CalTrans
station. My question is, who pays for that shuttle
and -- I'll just leave it at that for now.
I
MR. PASSANISI: I believe half of it will
be paid by the developer and the other half by
SamTrans; is that correct?
MR. RIDNER: Richard Cook left, but at
present SamTrans currently funds 75 percent of the
shuttles that exist. And I think there are 37 such
shuttles that SamTrans operates on the Peninsula.
For purposes of our commitment, however,
we're on the hook regardless. If, as an example,
SamTrans was no longer able to fund it's 75 percent
share, our homeowners association would have to
\ 25 pick up the entire cost of that'shuttle.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 149
(650) 952-0774
.- ,
