REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
City Council report, so I'm not sure where it would
( 2 relate to in others literature, but on 786, they
talk about a 500 occupancy or 500 unit trigger
where things would or would not get developed or
passed. And I just wanted to know, they mentioned
it as far as shuttle service, that shuttle service
needed to be started no later than a 500 unit build
out, they mention it several other places.
And I wanted to know, since the developer
has said that the first phase may only include
three hundred units, I wanted to know why 500 units
was a trigger instead of phase one, phase two and
so forth.
I
MR. PASSANISI: I think because we wanted
to make sure there was enough volume to warrant
the -- some of the improvements, not to start at
100, 200. Also, we weren't really sure at the t'ime
this was put together, what actually the first
phase will be. I think we're not certain whether
it be 2- or 300 or whatever, when this was written.
So essentially, we want to make sure there
was enough volume of units, enough people to
warrant these services, that's where we got to 500.
Certainly that can change, it could be lowered, if
needed, if need be.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 158
(650) 952-0774
..
