REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
COUNCIL MEMBER HOWARD: Well, is it based
on any information that you have from groups like
the Alliance, a shuttle operator and shuttle
nonprofit in the county?
MR. PASSANISI: Rich, maybe, do you know?
No, it was something -- a figure -- a
number we thought was reasonable at that time, 500
units.
COUNCIL MEMBER HOWARD: Okay. I guess I
just want further information, then, on what phase
one could be, because I think that having
alternative forms of transportation would need to
start as soon as it's viable, as soon as it could
i
be started.
I also wanted to say that I got a phone
call from the Alliance and from water -- the water
transit authority offering their support to the
Glenborough-Pauls Group, that they would like to
work very closely with them, because they know it's
in everyone's best interests to keep moving people
without vehicles - - cars in particular, single
occupancy vehicles. And they offer their services
in finding money for zero emission vehicles that's
available on the Federal and state level and would
like to work very closely with Glenborough-Pauls.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 159
(650) 952-0774
.-
