REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
structural safety and structural safety of the
building over six and seven stories has got to be
looked at carefully.
We don't have the time and the staff to do
that, so I would guess about 80 percent of this,
actually, would be reviewed by consultants outside.
COUNCIL MEMBER HARTNETT: Okay, thank you.
MAYOR IRA: All right. Roseanne - - or
Council Member Foust, sorry.
COUNCIL MEMBER FOUST: I just have a
question that follows up to that: In order to get
the financing for this project, Mr. Ridner, you had
mentioned earlier that you need to have specific
í
geotechnical studies, which I'm assuming is going
to go along with the heightened contracting out of
City services if this continues. Is - - is that
what you said?
MR. RIDNER: I did.
We've already done some preliminary
geotechnical review, and certainly there's going to
be a much higher degree of that engineering that's
going to take place as part of our next step, which
would be to actually design the buildings.
In -- in engineering detail that would be
ready to be submitted to this - - the City
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 167
(650) 952-0774
"."
