REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
Third, the project will enhance shopping
! 2 activity at nearby retail and service businesses.
This will be possible by residents using the new
walkways, bike paths, possible shuttle service, and
street improvements.
These business areas include the shopping
center across the highway at Mervyns and Kinko's,
et cetera. It also includes the downtown area and
it could well include the business corridors along
Woodside and El Camino Real.
Fourth, the project will provide easy
access to major employment centers along the
Peninsula and across the bay due to its close
I,
proximity to major transportation corridors, these
include the peninsula highways that cross bay
bridges and CalTrans.
Fifth, the construction followed by the
village operations and maintenance will provide
much needed jobs and revenue sources for the City
of Redwood City.
Therefore, I urge the Redwood city Council
Members to approve this project. I believe it's
exciting, it's attractive, and it's a visionary
project.
And I thank you for listening.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 69
(650) 952-0774
.-
