Western States Surfacin , Inc. — Modesto, CA $691,761.36 <br /> 2. Manhole Ad'ustin Contractors, Inc. — Pico Rivera, CA $942,128.40 <br /> The low bid by Western States Surfacing, Inc. is 6% higher than Engineer's Estimate of <br /> $650,000, and is considered a good and responsible bid. <br /> Western States Surfacing, Inc. has done projects for the City in the past; they are <br /> considered good and responsible contractors. <br /> A copy of the Agreement is available for review in the Clerk's office. <br /> Alternatives <br /> Do not approve the contract for the 2003-2004 Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal Project, which <br /> would leave the scheduled streets in a deteriorated condition. <br /> Fiscal Impacts <br /> Funds in the amount of $1,100,000 are appropriated in the 2003-2004 Capital <br /> Improvement Program budget as part of the Transportation (Measure "A") Fund. <br /> Excess monies will be used for the upcoming Slurry Seal Project. <br /> .� <br /> ; �. <br /> �/;1� �� , ".i�� <br /> M.
