ClTY PE+Coaches:The parties understand that CITY's physic�education coaches will 6,„,;B �- Page 9 site during�g�ar school haars and under the direction of RCSD credentialed teache�s.Physical educat�n coaches help child�devebp physical abi�'ities and healthy habiis that can last for tt� rest of their 6ves.The PE+coaches suppated through this grant will organize g�nes and chaNenges that promote physical activity among children in grades K 5.Their goal is to develop motor skills�d physical devebpment among younger d�ildr�en and proper exentise and�tlng habits among older children.PE+coaches must also adust their curricula to ad�t to children with disabilibes or di�e�ent physical abilities.The PE+ooaches will be knowledge�le about aH a�tivifies provided to the children,be abls to oommunicate and demonstrabe slulls properly,obsenne all their students and maintain disc�line within the dass. ln addition�o students,they interact with parents, other teachers and school administrators.There wi11 be four coaches hired for each school site, including 1 head c�ach.Coaches wo�k no mone than 25 hours per week(approx.5 hours/day). Head coaches work no more than 27 hours per week(approx.5.5 hours/day). VII.Budget and Distribution of Fuoding G�ant Purpose:SHD has agreed to provide gr�t funds to ClTY which will use such funds b hire qualified staff listed above,provide program training to staff, �d cover costs of equipment and miscellaneous supplies related to the educatian,instruction,and promotan of tfi�e PE+program.CITY shaN hire sufficient coaches(up to 12)to provide the PE Plus program to four schoals with staffing in a�ccord�oe with CITY's p��l. Distribution of Fund+ng:Sequoia Healthcare District win distribute the SHD funding c�ntritwtion towards PE+ in the folbwing payrnent plan:�e first payment will consist of the frrst half of the SHD oontributian and the second payment will consist of the sec�nd halF of SHD oontribution at the mid-year point,upon adequate program progress.The RedNrood Cit�r Sc,hool District oontribubon toward the progr�n wiN be provided to CITY under a sepazate financial agreer�nt between CITY ar�i RCSD.SHO is not responsible for obtaining or distributing the funds from RCSD.
