Mayor Gee stated that there may be <br />department heads from some larger cities that might be well-qualified but have not <br />served as an Assistant City Manager yet. Council Member Bain clarified that he is <br />concerned with applicants coming from the private sector since it is very different from <br />experience in the public sector. <br /> <br />Council Member Pierce agreed that she prefers someone who has city experience. <br />Vice Mayor Foust stated that she is glad that the brochure was written the way that it <br />was, noting that Dr. Bell worked 10 years in the private sector prior to entering city <br />government. She stated that experience with both might be valuable. <br /> <br /> D. Council Appointments to the Board of Building Review and to the <br />Planning Commission (209) <br /> <br /> Recommendation: <br />Appoint by roll call vote an applicant to the Board of Building Review to fill an <br />unexpired seat which ends May 31, 2016 with the following applicants being <br />considered: <br /> William John Buckleman <br /> Daniel G. Lewin <br /> <br />Appoint by roll call vote an applicant to the Planning Commission to fill an <br />unexpired seat which ends June 30, 2017 with the following applicants being <br />considered: <br /> Jason Galisatus <br /> Consuelo Connie Guerrero <br /> Robert A. Nice <br /> <br />Council Vote on the Board of Building Review seat: <br /> William John Buckleman received the following votes: Bain, Seybert, Foust. <br /> Daniel G.
