Would the project result in substantial
adverse physical impacts associated with the
provision of new or physically altered
governmental facilities, the need for new or
physically altered governmental facilities, the
construction of which could cause significant
environmental impacts, in order to maintain
acceptable service ratios, response times or
other performance objectives for any of the
public services:
Fire Protection?
Police Protection?
Schools?
Parks?
Other Public Facilities?

1,2
1,2
1,2
1,2
1,2

Red Morton Community Park currently hosts daytime and nighttime sporting events at the ball fields
and tennis courts, and the Redwood City Fire Department and Police Department currently provide
service to the site. The proposed project would increase the hours of operation on one field in the
park to include nighttime activities through the installation of new sports lighting. The slight
increase in nighttime activities at the park would not substantially increase demand for police and fire
services, and will not increase existing response times to the project site.

The proposed project would not result in the increased demand for schools, parks, or any other public
facilities in the project area.

4.14.3 Conclusion

The proposed project would not result in a significant impact on the physical environment as a result
of the increased demand for fire protection, police protection, schools, parks, or other public
facilities. (Less Than Significant Impact)

8.A. - Page 80
